A free one-tab sheet for Australians paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly.

Type your take-home pay and how often you're paid. Then type your regular bills and how often each one comes out. The sheet turns every bill into a per-fortnight cost (26 fortnights a year, not 24) and shows what's left for everything else.

What you get

  • Two Excel files, the same sheet in light and dark versions: Where-Did-My-Pay-Go-FREE-v2.0.xlsx and Where-Did-My-Pay-Go-FREE-v2.0-DARK.xlsx. Both work in Excel 2019 or later, Microsoft 365 and Google Sheets.
  • Made-up example numbers already in, so you can see how it works. Clear the butter-yellow cells and type your own.
  • A Check column that flags anything that needs a look.

Works in

  • Microsoft Excel (2019 or later, or Microsoft 365) and Google Sheets. Not for Apple Numbers.
  • To use Google Sheets (free), upload the .xlsx to your Google Drive and open it with Google Sheets.
  • No macros, no add-ons, no bank login. Your numbers stay on your computer or in your own Google Drive.

A budgeting tool, not financial advice.

I used AI tools to help build this sheet. Every formula was checked against a separate calculation before release.
