The venue wants the next instalment in three weeks. Your mum said she'd help. Nobody's written down how much.

This spreadsheet keeps the whole wedding in one place: what each thing will really cost, what's paid, what's due and when, who's putting money in, and how much to put aside each fortnight to close the gap by the day. You type each cost once. The Dashboard does the sums.

Type your wedding date and the Timeline works out when to give notice at the register office: at least 29 days before, and within 12 months of the ceremony, from the GOV.UK rules for England and Wales, with the source on the Rates and Dates tab.

The example couple, Mia and Jordan, are made up. They have a £33,000 budget and an expected cost of £35,270, so the sheet shows them £2,270 over straight away. With £26,000 pledged, the gap is £9,270, and the Saving Plan says £927 each fortnight, ten times, with a check that the money is there when each payment is due.

Inside: Dashboard, Start Here, Settings, Budget, Payments, Contributions, Saving Plan, Guests (RSVPs and meal counts), Suppliers, Timeline (a checklist by months to go, plus your giving notice dates) and Rates and Dates (every rule with its source).

You get four files: an example copy to learn on, a BLANK copy to fill in, and dark versions of both, plus a step-by-step setup video.

Works in Microsoft Excel (2019 or later, or Microsoft 365) and Google Sheets. Not for Apple Numbers. Amounts are in pounds, dates day first.
